تراجعت أسعار الذهب بأكثر من 1% اليوم، لتتجه نحو تسجيل أكبر انخفاض شهري لها منذ أكتوبر 2008، مع تراجع تأثير ضبابية الأوضاع الجيوسياسية وتوقعات رفع أسعار الفائدة الأمريكية للحد من التضخم المرتفع.
وانخفض سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 1.5% ليصل إلى 3956.92 دولار للأوقية (الأونصة)، مسجلاً خسارة 12.7% منذ بداية الشهر، في ما سيكون رابع انخفاض شهري على التوالي.
وتراجعت العقود الآجلة الأمريكية للذهب تسليم أغسطس 1.7% ليصل إلى 3969.30 دولار.
والمعدن النفيس في طريقه لتسجيل أول انخفاض فصلي له منذ 2024، والأكبر منذ الربع الثاني من 2013.
وفي المعادن الأخرى، انخفض سعر الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 2% إلى 57.13 دولار للأوقية، وخسر البلاتين 1.1% ليصل إلى 1557.21 دولار، وتراجع البلاديوم 0.4% ليصل إلى 1208.17 دولار.

Gold prices fell by more than 1% today, heading towards recording their largest monthly decline since October 2008, as the impact of geopolitical uncertainties and expectations of U.S. interest rate hikes to curb high inflation diminished.
The price of gold in spot transactions dropped by 1.5% to reach $3956.92 per ounce, marking a loss of 12.7% since the beginning of the month, which would be the fourth consecutive monthly decline.
U.S. gold futures for August delivery fell by 1.7% to $3969.30.
The precious metal is on track to record its first quarterly decline since 2024, and the largest since the second quarter of 2013.
In other metals, the price of silver in spot transactions decreased by 2% to $57.13 per ounce, platinum lost 1.1% to reach $1557.21, and palladium fell by 0.4% to $1208.17.
All three metals are on track to record monthly and quarterly losses.
