The CEO of Saudi Aramco, Amin Nasser, confirmed that the company possesses operational flexibility and logistical capabilities that enable it to meet its commitments to customers even amidst geopolitical disruptions. He pointed out that “Aramco” continues to explore additional export routes and enhance its storage capacities outside the Kingdom to ensure the continuity of supplies to global markets. Nasser told Nikkei Asia, according to what was published on the “Al Arabiya.net” website: “Aramco” has several options that enable it to meet customer needs without interruption.
3 Main Oil Export Routes
Nasser confirmed that the company continues to supply markets with oil and petroleum products normally, despite the challenges facing the global energy sector due to current regional tensions. He added: “The company is currently conducting feasibility and engineering studies to establish additional export routes.” He explained that “Aramco” currently has three main routes for oil export, while it is considering the possibility of developing a fourth and fifth route as part of its strategy to enhance the flexibility of its supply network and reduce risks associated with shipping corridors.
Meeting Global Demand and Maintaining Reliability
Nasser pointed out that the “East-West” pipeline project is not limited to a single line, but consists of a series of lines that provide significant flexibility in transporting crude oil and petroleum products, emphasizing that the company is capable of withstanding and dealing with severe disruptions thanks to its advanced infrastructure and operational expertise. He clarified that “Aramco” is also assessing opportunities to expand its storage capacities abroad, which enhances its ability to meet global demand and maintain reliable supplies under various conditions.
Ability to Address Any Disruptions
Nasser noted that “Aramco” is capable of addressing any disruptions that may affect its operations within a few days, indicating that the company is seriously considering alternative options for oil export in light of the current geopolitical developments. The CEO of “Aramco” warned that global energy conditions may face further pressures, considering that the potential volume of supply interruptions is “large and not limited,” which could exacerbate the challenges facing global energy markets and increase the importance of ensuring stable and reliable oil flows to consuming markets.
